We coopeated with different geographical thematic assemblies in the context of a targeted research project led by dr. Petra Svoljšak. As part of the impact of the Soča/Isonzo front on the landscape in the Upper Soča valley we found that the war affect several regional elements. By analyzing the influence of natural-geographic factors on mountain warfare we have prepared the regionalization of the area studied and the data layers with lithological, relief and other data on the basis of 25-meter digital terrain model. As part of the construction of thematic maps, we determined the research area, selected the topographic elements, prepared shadowed relief, studied the urban network, acquire and organize information on the river network and digitize railway and road networks in the selected area.In the context of impact of natural disasters on the Soča/Isonzo front we obtained data of many Slovenian and foreign authors and identified the correlation between mountain landscape and natural disasters in the framework in the front that took place in the Julian Alps between 1915 and 1917. We also focused on the evaluation of the available resources and data capture for the examination of population settlements, infrastructure and land use regarding the impact of the Soča/Isonzo front on the human-geograpical landscape changes in the Upper Soča valley
