The Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the Municipality of Tržič is a strategic plan designed to satisfy the mobility needs of people and businesses in cities and their surroundings for a better quality of life. It builds on existing planning practices and takes due consideration of integration, participation, and evaluation principles. The project team consisted of experts in the fields of urban planning, geography, mobility planning, and communication. Researchers from the Anton Melik Geographical Institute were primarily responsible for designing the vision, goals, and measures for cycling and public passenger transport.
The Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the Municipality of Tržič consists of five pillars: sustainable mobility planning, walking, cycling, public passenger transport, and motorised transport. In each of them, the vision, goals, and measures with a detailed description of responsibility, costs and deadlines were defined. In total, 23 goals and 34 measures were defined.
