Centrality, peripherality, and regional development
We investigate processes of centralization and peripheralization and their consequences for the development of places, regions, and people’s life opportunities. We are especially interested in smaller places, polycentric development, local and regional development patterns, and differences between central and peripheral areas. This field also includes electoral geography, spatial marginalization, and questions of development inequalities.
